Download Ledger Wallet from Ledger’s official website or your device’s official app store. Connect your device, follow prompts and install updates. Choose a PIN on the device; never share it or let anyone else choose it. Your PIN protects device access, not your recovery phrase.
Your device may generate a Secret Recovery Phrase. Write it on the supplied recovery materials and store it offline, somewhere private. Anyone who sees it can control your assets. Ledger will never ask you to reveal it online or to support staff. Never photograph it, type it into a computer, or enter it on a website.
After setup, add accounts in the app and verify transactions on your Ledger screen before approving. The app helps you manage; your device confirms what you sign. If anything feels unexpected, pause and visit Ledger’s official help center. Careful setup makes everyday use simpler. Keep your recovery phrase safe while you own your assets.
